For the past six or seven years, the gaming community’s come to expect a new iteration of Call of Duty each holiday Season. Each release of the series seems to break sales records and Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) is no different. Having already...

Call of Duty 3 is a decent FPS game that fans of the series will definitely enjoy. Others hoping to see more from the PS3 version after having played the XBOX 360 version will be left disappointed.

You certainly won’t be complaining about the visuals in CoD3 – it’s definitely a great looking game with enough atmosphere to make you feel like you’re playing through Saving Private Ryan or Cross of Iron. The environments are highly detailed and convincing, the rain and particle effects are believable, and the explosions are suitably disorientating...

Even though I’m pretty sick of the whole World War II genre, Call of Duty (CoD) is one World War II franchise that doesn’t make me want to curl up and die. Introduced way back in 2003 on PCs, CoD single handedly managed to breathe some fresh a...

I had a chance to play Call of Duty 3 a few months ago on the PS3 and while it nowhere near compared to the 360 version I played that same day, it did look good – certainly better than the PS2 version. And therein lies the rub – the PS3 is con...
Call of Duty 3 is easily the best in the series (or at least a tie with COD2) but the PS3 conversion just doesn’t do it justice. If this is the only next-gen system you have then you should go ahead and play it, but if you own a 360 you’ll hav...

Occasional dips in the frame rate; lack of diversity in multiplayer modes; a few bugs that should have been caught in the QA review.
The quality that we have come to expect from this series is still evident. While not the most polished launch title, it certainly deserves a place on your gaming shelf this November.

Does the PS3 version of Call of Duty 3 have what it takes to attract recruits away from the Xbox 360?...

Ok, right up front – Call of Duty 3 is the same game on the PlayStation 3 console system as it is on the 360 platform, or on the Wii, or PC, for that matter. There are only some minor differences. But what propels the game is the action, the evolvin...

Call of Duty 3 is a great game that, unfortunately, has the obligation of living up to a very successful legacy. In fact, if it was a standalone WWII shooter that wouldn't have come under the understandably thorough scrutiny of fans of the CoD franchis...
