The U-turn and selectable straight paper path with robust feeder mechanism allows for smooth scanning of a variety of media types, including embossed cards, thick and thin media or 3m-long documents. Using Folio mode, it is also possible to scan A1 size documents. The DR-M1060 includes an array of technology for reliable paper handling. Ultrasonic double feed detection helps prevent lost images, while the Double Feed Release (DFR) feature reduces interruptions by allowing users to quickly ignore and continue scanning in special cases.

Good Handles tabloid (11-by-17 inch) and larger paper. Duplexer. Extraordinarily fast text recognition for scanning to searchable PDF files.
Bad Raw scan speed is slower than the claimed speed in our tests. Speed for scanning to searchable PDF format is uneven on several programs...
Bottom line If your small office or workgroup needs to scan up to tabloid-size (11-by-17-inch) originals and even larger, the Canon imageFormula DR-M1060 document scanner is a strong contender...
