Smooth and Swift
Travels On Land and In The Sky
The game world of this Zelda game consists of the airborne Skyloft and three land-based worlds below: a forest, a volcano and a desert.

Ride a bird and soar through the sky before diving to your destination in the lands below. Ride one of the updrifts near a bird statue to return to the skies.

All-New Save System
Bird Statues located throughout the gameworld act as save points to record the progress of your adventure. You'll always return to the last palce you saved, whether you get defeated or choose to take a break.

Bird Statues can also be found inside dungeons, meaning that even if you are defeated by a boss, you can easily try again without too much backtracking.

You can also view "The Story So Far" on the screen where you load saved games, meaning there's very little danger of getting confused, even if you take a lengthy break from playing.

Dowsing to Search The Land
While searching for Zelda, Link will explore a vast landscape. He will often have to return to previously visited locales to search for something new. He may find those areas to be greatly changed upon his return, and this is where Dowsing comes into play.

Dowsing uses the power of Link's sword to find hidden people and items. Sound and vibration help to indicate when the target is close, similar to radar. Searching for items, people and secret areas adds a deep element of puzzle-solving and exploration to the open field, the kind that existed only in dungeons in previous Zelda games.
