The Zalman ZM1000-HP is an interesting product. I don’t know how much the heat pipes contribute to it, but it is indeed one of the two quietest PSUs in this review. Unfortunately, the overall impression is somewhat spoiled by minor drawbacks. First, I guess a 1000W power supply should have more and longer cables...

Weve looked at a few Zalman PSUs over the past year or so and today we have the largest unit from Zalman on our bench today. Weve got the 1000W heatpipe cooled PSU plugged into our system and will take a look and see if it has enough power to keep...
Low electrical noise, Rated at 1000W continuous, Mostly modular with lots of peripheral and SATA connectors, Very stable with a fairly heavy load, 14cm and heatpipes keep it cool and quiet - inaudible over any other fan, Should work in all but extreme...
Only four PCIe connectors, No power switch...
The Zalman ZM1000-HP is currently the biggest and best PSU from Zalman and it comes in at 1000W. It pushes out a lot of watts through six +12v rails and hefty 3.3v and 5.0v lines. While it looks almost identical to their earlier 850W ZM850-HP, the 1...

You read right. Its a 1000W PSU, and its quiet. Quiet enough to take on all comers. We never thought wed say it, but its even recommendable for silencers. Sheesh! Go on and read the review. Maybe youll catch some errors to prove us wrong.
The Zalman ZM1000-HP is really irritating. We dont want to like or recommend it because its a gargantuan power supply of the type we have mixed feelings about... at best. No one needs a 1000W PSU. But... This PSU is not just quiet, it is incremental...
