USB FireLite AC Adapter

The power source for your FireLite is selected with the switch on the back of the unit. When the switch is in the USB position (towards the USB connector), the FireLite will attempt to draw power from the USB. When the switch is in the EXT position (towards the external power connector), the FireLite will draw power from an external power source. Some computer systems may not provide enough power through USB to operate FireLite – in this case you must use and external power source. (If there is insufficient power for FireLite to mount properly, FireLite will typically make a “click” sound and its LED will blink once per second.) You may need to purchase the optional AC Power Adapter.

Note: Only the Verbatim 5 volt ACFLB AC Power Adapter should be connected to the external power connector on your FireLite. Using any other power adapter (including higher voltage power adapters intended for other Verbatim portable hard drives) will void your warranty and may result in injury, damage to you FireLite, or loss of data.
