This is a preview, when a full review is available this story will be updated) Toshiba has taken another stab at the tablet market with the AT200, the follow-up device to the AT100. THE AT200, also known as the Excite, is touted as the world’s thinnes...

This new device which weighs in at 535 grams is a real screamer on several fronts, firstly I got more than eight hours battery life out of the tablet even with heavy video viewing and the uploading of over 30 applications, secondly the 280x800 pixel re...
  • This is an excellent and highly practicle tablet. It's fast extremely light and a tad too thin as at one stage I lost the device among my newspapers and documents that I carry in my bag.
  • This should have come with Android 4.0. The new Asus tablet has it but at $700 plus you are paying for it along with a fixed keyboard. By adding a cheap Bluetooth keyboard this device does almost everything you want and when Android 4.0 and Chrome are added it will become a highly practical device that is well worth owning.

The Toshiba AT200, also known as the Excite in the US, claims most of its column inches for one reason. When originally launched, it was the slimmest tablet in the world. It's a 10.1in Android tablet relying on its looks and light weight to stand out from...

  • The Toshiba AT200 is an unusually slim, unusually light Android tablet with a 10.1in screen. However, we can't shake the feeling that it's turning up in last season's clothes. Its OS is getting on a bit, the screen performance is mediocre in its class and...

At only 7.7mm thick, Toshiba boasts that its new tablet is the slimmest yet and it’s a claim I can’t argue with either. Dubbed the Excite in the US and the rather less exciting AT200 elsewhere, Tosh's slim slab is 0.9mm thinner than the previous title...
  • At £399 for the 16GB version the AT200 isn’t great value when for an extra £100 you can have the 32GB Asus Transformer Prime with a keyboard dock and performance that simply blows the Toshiba out of the water. If you can live with the extra girth and...

The Toshiba AT200 is an incredibly slim device but there is more to it than that. Movie fans will enjoy the experience on the AT200’s vibrant display, and the decent battery life means you won’t be searching for a mains socket every night. Okay, the A...

Although the brand hasn’t struck gold with previous tablets, the new Toshiba AT200 has Android top players like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus Transformer Prime square in its sights. It’s got the size thing going for it (as well as being only 7.7...

  • Toshiba’s AT200 tablet is a much better device than the earlier Toshiba AT100 and an excellent example of a portable and well-built Android machine. Both its 7.7mm slimness and 520g weight are excellent reasons to recommend this tablet but in truth we...

Toshiba's favourite contender in the tablet races is this thin 'n' stylish sliver of tech, running Android 3.2 Honeycomb (nope, no Ice Cream Sandwich), a dual-core processor and two cameras.DesignThe first thing you notice about the AT200 is that it's...

First announced back in September at IFA, the AT200 claims to be the thinnest tablet available - and at just 7.7mm wide it's hard to argue with that statement even at its release six months down the line. The headline figure is correct but the AT200 do...

Pocket-lint regulars might remember that we reviewed the Toshiba AT100 and utterly despised its cheap and nasty design and uninspired features. Happily, then, the firm has just started to sell its new and much-updated version of the tablet. The AT200...

  • An improvement over Toshiba AT100 tablet, but still far from idea and still not worth Toshiba's ludicrously over-inflated asking price. The screen is good, which makes it well suited to video and the design is pleasant enough, but we'd still chose anot...
