In order to connect your local network to the internet via an ADSL or cable, you also need an (Ethernet) ADSL or cable modem if it is not built-in in the router, which is most likely to be the case.

To protect your data and privacy, the Wireless-G ADSL Home Gateway features an advanced firewall to keep Internet intruders and attackers out. Wireless transmissions can be protected by powerful WPA2 data encryption. Configuration is a snap with any web browser.
